Emmett Lathrop "Doc" Brown, Ph.D., adalah sebuah karakter fiksi dalam trilogi Back to the Future di mana ia merupakan penemu mesin waktu pertama, yang dibuat dari sebuah mobil balap DeLorean. Karakter tersebut diperankan oleh Christopher Lloyd dalam seluruh tiga film, serta dalam cuplikan-cuplikan aksi hidup dari serial animasinya. Ia diisi suaranya oleh Dan Castellaneta dalam serial animasi tersebut. Penampilan dan tingkah laku karakter tersebut terinspirasi oleh Leopold Stokowski dan Albert Einstein.[1] Pada 2008, Dr. Emmett Brown dipilih oleh majalah Empire sebagai salah satu dari 100 Karakter Film Terbesar Sepanjang Masa, menampati peringkat #20.[2]
